Weird West delayed to Spring 2022

Weird West delayed to Spring 2022

A while ago, developer WolfEye Studios surprised us with the announcement of Weird West, an upcoming video game that takes a unique approach at the Wild West theme. The game will offer a combination of action RPG and simulation mechanics in order to deliver an exciting experience in a world that is a dark fantasy reimagining of the Wild West. With different characters and storylines to discover and a simulated sandbox world that reacts to each of your decisions, the game features a deeper level of depth than most games in the genre. The combination of supernatural creatures with gunslingers and outlaws opens a wide range of possibilities when it comes to the creation of the story.

The launch of Weird West was scheduled for next month, but WolfEye Studios has delayed it a couple of months in order to polish the final version a bit more. Creative director Raf Colantonio explained all the reasons behind this decision in a statement.

"Weird West is an impressively deep mix of action RPG and immersive sim elements built on the WolfEye team's experience with Dishonored and Prey. Early feedback is fantastic but, as is the case with any immersive sim, there are a lot of variables that can lead to unintended consequences. More time is needed to deliver an experience that the community expects from WolfEye and Devolver. The team understands that this might be a disappointment to folks, but want to ensure that the game they've worked on for years is launched in the best form possible."
