World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been delayed

It's been almost a year since World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was announced as the next expansion for the most popular MMORPG in the market. Blizzard's dedicated website already contain information about all of the novelties that the expansion is bringing to World of Warcraft and we were supposed to be able to start exploring the different realms that form the Shadowlands on October 27. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands beta has been running for a while already, and hundreds of people have had the chance of testing the game. But despite all that progress, it seems that the game is joining the long list of games that have their release delayed this year. John High, Executive Producer of World of Warcraft has explained the reasons via Twitter, and this time it seems that the blame doesn't fall on the pandemic and it's more about the necessity of polishing all the new mechanics and content that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will include, especially those related to the endgame content.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is quite an ambitious expansion. Not only it will bring a new world for the players to explore but it will also change the leveling system, add a brand new starting experience for the players, and change many core features of the game to enhance the gameplay experience.

Although there is no new release date confirmed for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands yet, players that are tired of Battle for Azeroth will have a few more things to do in the game when the Shadowlands pre-patch is released on October 13th. An event in which the Scourge will invade the lands of Azeroth will start and a few Shadowlands features will be made available to the players, including class changes, character customization, and the new leveling system.
