World War Z receives a new expansion next month

It's well known that World War Z offers to the players one of the best experiences available when it comes to shooting down hordes of zombies. The game has become a hit since it was released in 2019 and plenty of players have battled against an unending stream of zombies with all they got, trying to stop their unrelenting advance by using all kinds of weapons, traps, and explosives. With seven different episodes in the main campaign that take you all over the world to a variety of locations that include Moscow, Jerusalem, or Tokyo among others, World War Z currently offers quite a complete experience that you can share with other friends in cooperative mode. But its content will be expanded very soon with the release of a major expansion, Aftermath.

World War Z: Aftermath will be available as an expansion for the original game but also in a standalone package that includes all the new content along with the base game and every addition released to the date. Aftermath features a new episode of the campaign that will take you to the Vatican in an attempt to reclaim the city from the undead hordes. Once you are done with that you may as well travel to Kamchatka to look for a nuclear submarine too.

On the gameplay side, Aftermath will bring plenty of new daily challenges with unique rewards for you to unlock, as well as the new Vanguard class, with raises the total number of classes in World War Z to 8 and uses an electric shield to fend off the attacks of the zombies. You will also be able to play the game in the first-person view for a completely different experience. When it comes to ways of dealing with your enemies, Aftermath will give you access to new melee weapons, unique moves, and perks. You will need to master them in order to face new enemies like swarming hordes of rats.

World War Z: Aftermath will launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on 21 September 2021.
